Goosnargh Oliverson's Church of England Primary School

SEND and Inclusion

Our Vision and Ethos

Goosnargh Oliverson's Primary School is an inclusive school which aims to meet the needs of all pupils applying for a school place. We aim to do this through identification and assessment of need, alongside thoughtful provision to meet needs well and support pupils in achieving their potential. We work closely with pupils, parents and professionals to ensure we can do this wherever possible.

We are committed to ensuring ALL pupils receive quality education and opportunity; this includes full participation in school life. Steps taken to ensure all children with special educational needs and/or disabilities have access to a full and enriched educational experience include:

  • raising awareness, knowledge & skills through staff training

  • ensuring all policies reflect the school's commitment to equal opportunities for children with SEND

  • reviewing policies, including their impact

  • maintaining high expectations for all.

Our SENDCo is Mrs Michelle McCulloch. Our SEND Governor is Mrs Lindy King.
